BasicsThe ice spirit is a 1 elixir common card unlocked in arena 8 frozen peak. It can be used in place of 1 elixir skeletons or zap. Unlike there brethren the fire spirit; there main goal is to freeze the enemy not deal damage. The ice spirit does less damage than a single fire spirit. However unlike fire spirits the ice spirit can survive a zap spell so it can be used to back up your pushes. The ice spirit can be used as a great distraction and can give you extremely good value.

Some of the best ways to use the ice spirit are to distract big units like the sparky or finish off little troops like goblins or minions. Combined with your tower a well placed ice spirit can take out a minion horde. You can also use it in place of zap, back up your hog rider pushes with an ice wizard to freeze any units your opponent plays.

Strengths and Weaknesses |
While the Ice spirit has more hitpoints than the fire spirits it is still very weak. It can be taken out by any spell except for zap and is also very easily distracted. When using it your opponent might distract it and while it isn't a major loss to you since it only costs 1 elixir it might mess up your push. Its main strength is its value. For half the cost it delivers double the stun effect of the zap. But the ice spirit is weaker in many other ways. First the area of effect is much smaller, you can only place it on your side of the map and it is not guaranteed because it might get distracted or killed. Overall I think Ice spirits are a good card but still a little weak. I hope Supercell will tweak its stats a little in the upcoming patches.
